BERTU was founded by the Jones family of theSwankyAbode in a very raw way. The foundation was in graffiti and skateboarding, slowly moving into candles, gifts, and furniture. Today the company is run by me, Gretta Jones. I "married in"; tying the knot with Israel October of 2016. Since then we've added a couple more Jones members! I strive to have a distinct eye and attention to detail. With my interior design background, BERTU shines in a new light showcasing furniture and home accessories, but it will never lose its original character.

We are known for our solid wood furniture - mostly locally sourced black walnut and white oak. We are also known for our tree stump tables - organic modern and commercial grade. Almost all of our products can be produced in an outdoor version as well.

We truly care about people receiving top quality, made-in-America products that last. Each piece is custom made per client, so not many things are off the table when it comes to customization - from dimensions, to the wood used, to your color choice of fabric or finish. Bertu Home furniture is designed by us and built by local craftsmen. It is not over-designed, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We are real people making real product. Want to know more?
